Artist's Comments

I finished this acrylic painting last night. I wanted a nativity picture that showed everyone not just in awe but also happy. I also wanted Mary to be a little realistic, so she's a bit chubby in the face. I would have liked better details but I don't have good detail brushes at the moment and money is tight. And sorry for the bad photo but no scanner at the moment.

The composition and coloring styles and shapes are a classic folk art treatment. It warm my heart from the passage you illustrated and the manner you did it in. :-)

Keep it up!

It seems like a real folk-art scene in the same manner as the famous Correggio painting.
You're very welcome!
